Excellent tutorial! Thanks for suggesting Riva Encoder for doing conversions of the Youtube .flv format. I have only few suggestions: If you're using Mozilla/Firefox, there's also a "bookmarklet" that can be used to download Youtube videos: 1024k.de/bookmarklets/video-bookmarklets.html I like using it better than KeepVideo.com 'cuz the download link is provided by your own PC rather than some website that could be logging/tracking whatever. Also, if people are only interested in playing downloaded Youtube videos (.flv files), I also recommend downloading VLC Media Player: www.videolan.org/vlc/It can play many, many video file formats, as well as music files, streaming video, etc. There's even a portable version that you can run from a USB Thumbdrive without having to install it on your PC: portableapps.com/apps/audio_video/media_players/portable_vlc

Yeah. Or you can use youtubex.com all you do is type in the link and download. It doesn't seem to work with Firefox but I tried it with IE and it works for most videos.

Nick, I have sent your video out to other users at least ten times. It was a great thing that you did.
